If you love seafood, The Nordic in Rhode Island is a must-try. The all-you-can-eat spread is impressive, but the star of the show is definitely the lobster fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. What I appreciated most was the consistency, every serving tasted just as good as the first. The staff kept everything coming with a smile, and the vibe was relaxed but lively exactly what you want for a seafood feast. It’s rare to find a place where quality and quantity actually go hand in hand. The Nordic nails it. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit.
Everything about this place is great! I've come back so many times. There Game Dinner this year was absolutely amazing and there everyday offerings are just as awesome! Highly recommend indulge its worth every penny!!
This place is a must if you like seafood. All you can eat buffet. Lobster, crab legs, raw oysters, raw clams cooked clams, various seafood salads, soups, bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp & scallop scampi, stuffed sole, crayfish, mussel salad, BBQ ribs, chicken wings, friend chicken, scallops, shrimp, sirloin strips, prime rib, salad bar, deserts, cakes, canolis, strawberries, cherries dipped in chocolate, cookies, ice cream bar and much much more. Everything I've had here is excellent. They aren't open everyday and close down for the winter so always check the website before planning a trip. Some days require reservations in advance. After your done eating hang out by the ponds, pet the animals or enjoy live music Saturday and Sunday nights at certain times of the year.
I’ve been here about 5x over the last decade or so, it’s a nice scenic drive to get here. When pulling in the property is just beautiful. The facility and its amenities are stunning. They have outdoor propane fire pits, patio bar, lake view, volleyball court, cornhole, and more. So it’s makes your wait not seem so bad. The staff were great, and attentive. But their goal is to get you in and out as quickly as possible. The buffet is consistently good. The only change I’ve noticed in the past years is the price. $140 per person is a bit steep in my opinion. If I wasn’t here for a work function, I would never spend that kinda money on a buffet style meal. But that’s just me. The food is good, I will say that. But if money isn’t an issue for you, I’d definitely say come here if you never have, it’s quite the experience, and the views are beautiful.
My partner and I had the privilege of visiting for the first time at Game Dinner night and it was fantastic!! Amanda was our server and she was so friendly and kind. We had the last seating and unfortunately a couple of items were no longer available. Alternate options were provided and everything was delicious. We would definitely recommend The Nordic and hope to visit again in the future.
I’ve been waiting almost a year to visit The Nordic, and I finally got my opportunity the weekend before Halloween — and it absolutely met my expectations! At $140 per person, you truly get your money’s worth. The salad bar was super fresh, the seafood was delicious, and the variety of meats was impressive. As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of raw oysters, I was in heaven. And while I didn’t get to dive into the all-you-can-eat lobsters this time, I’m saving that for my next visit! (My boyfriend had an event later that afternoon, so I didn’t want to spend my limited time wrestling with lobster shells — I’m not the fastest at it… lol.) Oh, and did I mention the drinks? I had an apple cider mule — or something close to that — and it was absolutely to die for. The Nordic is definitely worth the wait and the drive — I can’t wait to go back!
Excellent place to visit. Out standing menu of dishes. Too many choices to name. Has outdoor fire pits to get warm with. Picnic table area. Mini farm setting. Beautiful scenic views. Service was outstanding. Plenty of free parking. Price is $140.00 per person but every bit worth the price. My wife was happy,I was happy, so go get happy too. See attached photos. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!
I first heard about The Nordic from my cousin maybe 20 years ago, and I’m happy to say the place is still going strong. If you love seafood, this is definitely a must‑try destination. The setting is gorgeous: wooded property by a lake, well‑kept grounds with hammocks, outdoor fire pits, and a relaxed vibe where you can stroll and soak it all in before or after your meal. Inside, it’s a massive all‑you‑can‑eat operation: lobster, crab, shrimp, prime rib, filet, scallops and so much more. Yes, it’s not cheap. But if you commit to the full experience, you’ll get your money’s worth. It’s for people who want the feast. The wait can be long at peak times. But they are well organized and manage the crowd really well. Follow their directions, give yourself plenty of time, and it will be part of the adventure rather than a frustration. What impresses me most is that they keep such a high level of consistency despite the size of this setup. For a place doing this many dishes at once, they maintain good quality across the board. Many props to the folks running this. If I’m looking for a seafood‑splurge in a setting that feels special rather than rushed, The Nordic is my go‑to.
